My family has a history of heart disease. I have known that I needed to prepare myself for this my whole life. I started by talking to my physician about my cholesterol. I came to the conclusion that my diet was the problem and that medications weren’t the only solution. I have not successfully changed my eating behaviors without help. I was recommended a health coach as an option.
I have been amazed at the support and the success that I have had with a health coach. My cholesterol is 198 with my diet and a very low dose statin. I am proud of myself for looking out for my health so I can be around a long time for my family.

We spend a good deal of time on attention to health vision and values moving as quickly or slowly as our clients can into action. It is our job to get you into full engagement in the process. It may take 6 to 12 months to transform behavior. Change happens quickly but it takes time to transform and make that change permanent.”
I have been struggling with my weight for years. I was recommended to a health coach by my pain management Dr. I am a nurse and have a difficult time taking breaks for food or for going to the bathroom for that matter. It is difficult for me to maintain a healthy weight because of my back and knee pain.
The supportive relationship with my coach has helped me get over the hump when I would have quit in the past. It has taken a year but I am moving in the right direction.
